“Letters from Columbus. America in the Casa de Alba” is the first exhibition that explores the American heritage of the Casa de Alba Foundation’s collection and reveals the family’s close ties with America since the 15th century. The exhibition presents around 150 pieces, among which the 20 Christopher Columbus Autographs stand out. Also on display are pre-Columbian and viceregal objects, portraits and decorative arts. These objects offer fundamental information to explain the Columbus voyages, the relationship of Christopher Columbus with the Kings, the privileges, lawsuits and his most intimate facet. Audioguiarte has produced the contents of the audio guide in Spanish and English, which can be seen in the PWA, and has had the collaboration of the curators, who have voiced the Spanish version.
