Summer Cinema With CSIC

Summer Cinema with CSIC

CSIC Campus in Madrid
July 5 to 26, 2024

CSIC de Cine celebrates its third edition looking at the sea. As part of the Decade of the Oceans, the series has programmed several films related to marine sciences. Thus, CSIC will screen Jaws, The Impossible, One Love and Flying Together on Fridays in July. All screenings will be free with popcorn and will include a presentation by a CSIC researcher in which they will discuss some of the issues raised in the films from a scientific point of view. In addition, the sessions will once again be inclusive and accessible to people with disabilities thanks to accessible subtitling and sign language interpretation. Audioguiarte will provide visually impaired attendees with receivers for the audiodescription of the films in Spanish.

“Greco, Velázquez, inspire me!”

Picasso Museum, Barcelona
From May 14 to the end of September 2024

“Greco, Velázquez, inspire me! Picasso invites you to the Prado Museum” is the new title of room 3 of the Museu Picasso that shows three paintings by artists who were relevant in the artistic career of Pablo Picasso for different reasons: Antonio Muñoz Degrain for being his teacher and Diego Velázquez and El Greco for being authors that Picasso admired during his stay in Madrid in the academic year 1897-1898 and that marked his later work. The title of the exhibition comes from a writing on a drawing in which the artist begged for help from his classical masters. Audioguiarte has been in charge of the production of audio content in four languages and the supply of devices.

Sorolla, Traveling To Paint

Sorolla, Traveling to Paint

Sorolla Museum, Madrid
From October 16, 2023 to March 31, 2024

The commemoration of the centenary of the death of Joaquín Sorolla Bastida (1863-1923) now focuses on travel and on outdoor painting, the driving force behind all his travels. Sorolla toured a total of fifty-four Spanish and seventeen foreign cities, standing apart his two tours of the United States. In this way, the painter forged an independent and cosmopolitan lifestyle through the progress he always championed. The protagonists of the exhibition are the territory, nature, the sea, the mountains, the atmospheric effects, Spanish nature and monuments, where Sorolla composes with an intimate look his other vision of that Spain that he so unusually traveled and represented. Audioguiarte has produced the audio content and supplies the audioguide devices.
