Sorolla in Black invites us to consider whether associating Sorolla with the color black is a paradox or whether, on the contrary, this is a valuable perspective for understanding and appreciating the artist in all his complexity. The exhibit is the result of a lengthy investigation which delves not only into Sorolla’s work, but also into the aesthetic and cultural value of blacks and grays in paintings from the turn of the century. Production of content in Spanish, English and French for this guided tour of the temporary exhibit. Texts by Covadonga Pitarch, Curator at the Museo Sorolla.
